Sausage thief incarcerated on $10,000.00 bail

Andrew Woods, 21, remains held on $10,000 cash bail, on charges of felony robbery and summary retail theft after Judge William Shaffer denied the bail reduction without prejudice, stating that the matter can be revisited once a mental health evaluation is received.

Woods was charged after an incident at the Friedman’s store on West Brady Street,Woods attempted to steal a package of sausage and rolls from the store and tussled with two employees and a customer who thwarted his getaway.

Because of his alleged actions, Woods’ summary shoplifting charge became a felony robbery charge.
