Paul Harper, 70, was formally arraigned on charges of felony attempted homicide, aggravated assault and two misdemeanor counts of recklessly endangering another person.
Harper was charged after an incident on July 3rd in Muddy Creek Township.
Police say Harper went to the residence of Christopher and Debra Galbreath with a shotgun and shot Christopher Galbreath in the arm.
He currently remains held without bail in the Butler County Prison, after bail was initially set at $250,000. When Harper was going to make bail, he then started to tell a correction officer at the jail that he will kill them when he gets out. Grandpas bail was then revoked.
