Tyler B. Kern, 24, of Butler, suffered an apparent overdose around 10:35 p.m. Sept. 9. Medical crews administered the opioid antidote Narcan to revive him, Butler Ambulance was also called as there was a chance that a 5 year old could have injected drugs while Kern was getting high. After ebing revived Kern tried to jump out of a window of the apartment complex.
Kern is on State Parole, and was not violated for these crimes, Kern then cut a deal to plea guilty to a summary charge and released from jail. In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors withdrew charges of resisting arrest and criminal mischief. Kern was ordered to pay $312 in restitution, fines and court costs.
On top of it all, his original warrant was dropped, and Kern is out of jail today, again with NO parole violation, an out to grab some drugs as I type this.
WHAT A JOKE!
