Alonzo Fleischer, 22, who is homeless was charged with leaving a six month old infant home alone in July at his friend’s Fairview Avenue apartment while he went to a neighbor’s house.
Police began an investigation based on a referral from ChildLine, the state’s abuse-reporting hot line, indicating that the child had been unsupervised July 13 for a period of time.
The infant’s mother told a detective that she was attending her GED class when she got a text message from Fleischer. He said the child was asleep and he was going to a neighbor’s house. The mother returned home about 10 minutes later, Her child was still sleeping and unharmed.
Fleischer is charged with child endangerment.
