Butler School District Continues To See Decline In Enrollment

Enrollment at the Butler Area School District continues to decline. A total of roughly 6,400 students currently attend school in Butler, which is about 150 less than last year.

Over the past five years, the district has lost 11 percent of its students and is expected to lose another 8 percent over the next five years.

Data shows other Butler County school districts, including South Butler, Slippery Rock and Karns City, are also expected to experience a decline in enrollment.



  1. most likely, many are going to cyber school and christian schools. the public schools have gotten so politically correct in teaching that a lot of people are fed up with them and doing all they can to get kids educated in a proper manner.
