Nicholas Brittner, 29, pleas guilty to choking his girlfriend out

Nicholas Brittner, 29, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor simple assault, his plea calls for a term of probation.

Brittner was initially charged with misdemeanor simple assault, harassment, ethnic intimidation, strangulation, disorderly conduct and summary public drunkenness. Adams Township police filed the charges after an incident on Crider Road, where Brittner choked his girlfriend, Ashlee Morrison, 26, and threw her on the ground. The assault could have been much worse had a man not stopped his car to stop the assault on the woman.

Morrison told officers that she and Brittner had been drinking at a bar on Crider Road. When she went to leave, he became angry.  Morrison had no visible injuries.
