Butler Radio is reporting the expansion of gambling will now allow Pennsylvanians to bet online, in airports and at truck stops.
Online gambling is relatively new, only Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware currently allow it. Pennsylvania will be the fourth state. And, the new measure makes Pennsylvania the first state to allow online play for both commercial casinos and its state lottery, as both go in search of newer and younger players.
Lawmakers expect the gambling legislation to bring in an estimated $200 million or more annually and was needed to help fill the state’s budget deficit.
