Police charged Joseph Fosnaught, 20, of Saxonburg with having marijuana stemming from an Aug. 31 traffic stop in Butler.
The stop was made because the defendant was driving a car with an expired inspection sticker.
A trooper got to the car and smelled marijuana and saw a beer can behind the driver’s seat. Fosnaught turned over a baggie containing suspected marijuana that was in the center console.
Police later searched the car and found a hidden compartment in the console that contained additional baggies with suspected marijuana, numerous marijuana pipes and two other baggies with an unknown white residue in them.
Fosnaught is charged with possession of a controlled substance, six counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, underage possession of alcohol, driving with an open container of alcohol and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.
Editors note: Weed should be legal, they would make more money off taxation then fines and court costs.
