Lawrence Everetts, 50, was sentenced to 7 to 17 years in a state correctional facility, he was also ordered to undergo lifetime sexual offenders registration and to pay court costs.
Everetts pleaded guilty to felony rape and aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 16 years old.
When charges were filed he was charged with felony rape, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault of a child and aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 16 years old, as well as two counts each of indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors and indecent exposure and one count of indecent assault of a person less than 16 years old.
Two girls reported being sexually assaulted by Everetts in different locations in Butler County. The girls told police the assaults began when they were 14 and 11 years old.
The older girl told police that the first time Everetts touched her was when she was at a home in Bruin, sometime before Christmas in 2015.
The older girl said she fell asleep in the bottom bunk of a bed and woke up because she felt something touching her leg. Her underwear and shorts were pulled off and on the floor, and Everetts was touching her privates. After this she reported several more incidents of molestation.
The younger girl, when interviewed by Butler County Alliance for Children, described a situation when Everetts asked her if he could touch her, the young girl said she let him touch her because she was to afraid to say no.
Everetts touched her under her clothes before telling her to lie down. He then exposed himself to the young girl, the girl said this happened between six and 10 times with Everetts.
Everetts has been held in the Butler County Prison since his arrest on July 27, 2016, on $500,000 cash bail.
Everetts is going to have a hell of an issue once he hits camp hill.
