Wayne Johnson, 35, receives slap on the wrist for a drug case

Wayne  Johnson, 35, was sentenced to six months of probation  for the charge of  conspiring to distribute drugs.

Johnson was also ordered to complete 25 hours of community service, undergo any counseling required by the Butler County Adult Probation Office and pay court costs and a $100 fine.

Johnson pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Johnson was charged with felony criminal use of a communications facility and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia following a Feb. 10 incident in Buffalo Township. The remaining charges were dismissed as part of the plea.

The Butler County Drug Task Force charged him after a search of the phone revealed multiple text messages regarding buying and selling heroin as well as crack cocaine, inside the home officers allegedly found two digital scales, drug-packaging materials, 10 hypodermic needles, two crack pipes and six empty bags of suspected heroin
