A former Prospect councilman is facing sexual assault charges after an underage boy reported that he inappropriately touched him over several years.
David B. Stellfox, 71, was charged with felony indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old, corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor after state police filed the charges Tuesday.
Police said a forensic interview was conducted by the Butler County Child Advocacy Center with an 11-year-old boy, who reported that Stellfox inappropriately touched him and forced the boy to inappropriately touch Stellfox.
The boy reported the incidents occurred between a two- to three-year period, about 10 times a year, and it had been a year or two since the last incident occurred, the document states.
During a police interview, Stellfox admitted some contact with the boy on several occasions.
“Stellfox said he was experiencing uncontrollable impulses when these incidents occurred and knew his actions were wrong,”
Stellfox was arraigned on Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge William S. O’Donnell, and he is being held in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 cash bail.
