One time shooting suspect, is back in jail for felony trespass, pfa violations

Jahote Dorsey Jr, 23, who at one time pleaded guilty in a 2016 shooting incident is now back in the Butler County Prison for criminal trespass and PFA violations.

Butler City Police on Thursday arrested Dorsey in connection with an incident at his former girlfriend’s house on South Street.

The woman told police that she returned home about 11 a.m. Sunday to find Dorsey inside her house, according to court documents.

The 31-year-old woman has a protection from abuse order against Dorsey that bars him from having any contact with her.

She suspected Dorsey got into her home by sneaking in through the basement door, police said. She told him to leave several times but he refused.

He eventually fled before police got there.

Dorsey was subsequently arrested and arraigned Thursday and placed in the county jail on $50,000 bail.

As of this posting he is still incarcerated.
