Ellis to Host Veterans Assistance Hours on March 9

Area veterans are invited to schedule an appointment for monthly veterans’ assistance hours on Friday, March 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at my district office, located at 6 Chesapeake St., Suite 200, in Lyndora. On the second Friday of each month, Larry Tuttle, department service officer with the American Legion, is available to assist veterans and their families in the 11th District.

I am encouraging veterans in the 11th District to take advantage of this monthly outreach. We are fortunate to have the capabilities to assist our veterans in this capacity, and I hope they find this service to be useful. Through this outreach, we are able to provide some direct links between our veterans and the services and programs available just for them.

Tuttle assists veterans with compensation, pension, death benefits, education, health care issues and more. Veterans do not have to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services. Those interested in scheduling an appointment can call my office in advance at 724-283-5852.
