Nafis Brown, 24, pleaded guilty to three felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and one count of conspiracy to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
The plea agreements call for a sentence of 2 to 5 years in a state correctional facility. He will also be ordered to pay any court costs and fines, and any restitution. He is scheduled for sentencing on April 26th
The pleas came shortly before hearings were to be held for two motions, one a motion to suppress evidence and one to disclose the identity of a confidential informant. Both those pretrial challenges were dismissed as a result of the plea.
Brown was initially charged with two counts of felony possession with intent and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance after an incident on Sept. 27; felony possession with intent and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop on Oct. 2; and felony possession with intent, conspiracy, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a search warrant on the same day.
