Today, Governor Tom Wolf will announce a new initiative aimed at expanding broadband access to businesses and households in PA through the creation of a new office and an incentive program. Details of the plan are not yet known.
Across the state large dead zones and pockets of zero cable internet access exist.
This is seen as a drawback to home business growth and makes it hard to attract new business to a state that can’t support the needs of the workforce.
For PA to succeed, we must close the digital divide and ensure every citizen and business has the high-speed internet access they need to connect to the digital world in which we live and work. Wolf said.
