St. Patrick’s Day Checkpoint garners seven arrests and a lot of income for the State

Seven drivers were arrested as a result of one DUI checkpoint on St. Patrick’s Day.

State Police set up a checkpoint near Route 28 in southern Butler County (in Buffalo Township) on Saturday night and into early Sunday morning.

According to police, 289 vehicles were stopped at the checkpoint. Seven people were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and thirty seven other drivers were cited for traffic violations.
