Thomas Huff IV, 33, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs stemming from a one-vehicle crash last month in Franklin Township.
Police said Huff was traveling west on Old Route 422 about 9:40 p.m. Feb. 11 when he lost control of his Chevrolet Tracker and hit an embankment. The vehicle became airborne and struck the front porch of a home, overturning several times and ending in the home’s yard.
Huff was taken by Butler Ambulance Service to Butler Memorial Hospital for suspected serious injuries. Before being taken to the hospital,he admitted he had been drinking before the wreck.
A blood draw at the hospital was tested with toxicology reports showing Huff’s blood-alcohol level was 0.176 percent. He also had marijuana and morphine-free, the product of heroin and codeine metabolism, in his system
