State Offers Free Credit Monitoring For Teachers

Several hundred thousand teachers in Pennsylvania are receiving letters offering free credit monitoring after their personal information was allegedly publicly released last month.

Multiple news organizations are reporting the personal info, including names and social security numbers, of more than 300,000 teachers was released due to a “human error.”

Some teachers have reportedly received letters stating the state education department has contracted with a company to offer 12 months of credit monitoring, a $1 million insurance reimbursement policy and identity theft recovery.

It’s unclear if any local teachers have been affected.

  1. thats because teachers are not smart enough to fend for themselves.. they are trained to realize the union and the democrat party needs to tell them how to live and what to do. so they will buy into this BS plan since they got a pay raise. and they teach the kids of the future,,,,, this is an example of why we have the issues we have today.
