Police charged Jennifer Elder, 23, of Center Township with drugged driving and possessing pills without a prescription stemming from a traffic stop last month in Summit Township.
Field sobriety testing indicated she was impaired on drugs. A search of her vehicle turned up a lip balm tin containing two pills of lorazepam, a medication often used to treat anxiety. Elder admitted she did not have a prescription for the drug.
Police took her to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology results showed she had several drugs in her system including amphetamine, methamphetamine, lorazepam, norbuprenorphin and pseudoephedrine.
Elder is charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license.
