578 Students have graduated from Bc3

578 students will receive their degrees, including a 19-year-old, an 80-year-old, a newlywed couple, mothers and 28 student-veterans, one of whom is about to be deployed.

This will mark the school’s 50th Commencement. Graduates of its first class, the Class of 1968, will be recognized.

U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, of Butler, spoke about 80-year-old William “Don” Thomas, who is set to graduate from the school in a ceremony tonight.

Thomas lives in Saxonburg and is a veteran of the Air Force. He started taking college classes in the 50s while stationed in France. He enrolled at BC3 in 2010 to finish his degree.

Kelly’s speech will also be submitted into the Congressional Record
